Ok, so I ride a Cannondale Synapse Carbon Fem 3. It came stock with an FSA SL-K Carbon Light crankset...which I am not very fond of, and am considering swapping it out for a Shimano Ultegra crank. However, my riding buddy pointed out something to me that I had not thought of. He noticed how the FSA crankarms have this weird "bend" to them...something the Shimano cranks do not have. He thinks that Cannondale may have opted to use the FSA crank with the bend in them, because of the thicker chainstays on the Synapse. After looking at the chainstays closely, it does concern me that the Shimano crankarms might not clear them. Is this a valid concern? Has anyone tried swapping out the stock FSA crank for a Shimano crank without any problems?
Thanks!
Linda
