    Ok, that makes sense. Is mashing a bad thing? It seems like it might be hard on the knees.

    It is That's one reason people say that maintaining a cadence over 60 is "easier" on the knees... because it causes less stress.

    Thanks Zen....I needed a laugh!!! Reminds me of the "need more cowbell" skit!

    Mashing is a very southern term! When you get in an elevator here you ask someone to "mash" the number you need. Before moving here - I only "mashed" potatoes.
