    Thumbs up Accelerade Hydro

I just went for a 43 mile ride and used the fruit punch flavor of Accelerade Hydro for the first time. The "Hydro" has 33% less calories and 55% less sugar than regular Accelerade.
I really liked it. It tasted refreshing and not so "goopy," if that is a word. Although it's a little cooler today, this will be great for super hot days.

Does that mean it doesn't leave a layer of scuzz in your water bottle like Accelerade does?

I tried only Accelerade Hydro and it does leave layer in the water bottle ... I am not sure how it compares to Accelarade but it is there and it is PITA to clean it...

I found it left a little less of a layer. Eh, I just fill the bottle with hot water and dish soap, let it set while I shower, and then use a bottle brush to clean it. I have found Gatorade to be worse, and haven't tried any other drink. I was not the greatest with cleaning the bottles, but after my DH yelled at me for ignoring stuff growing in there, I have been religious about it.
Just don't look in my Camelbak, though. I don't put anything but water in there, and don't use it very often, but when I first started riding, I didn't know you could buy the special long skinny brush to clean it. I won't tell you the rest. I got a new one...
