But Cali is down in Southern California. The Bubba/Wrenchboy plan really only works for northern Calif girls or those on the way. Petunia and I didn't drive last year because we are both better long distance sleepers than drivers.

Last year, Petunia and I shipped our bikes, flew out and rented a car. The big expense was shipping the bikes and the car rental because we had to get a Ford Escape that would fit both bikes inside. Housing was free as we stayed at Hotel MIL, but remember that just about everything is closed in Utah (pardon me, Yewtah ) on Sunday. If you need to ship your bike back home, you have to physically be in Utah on Monday.

The Bubba/WrenchBoy plan lessens shipping and car rental costs except for mileage to drive out and the bike mounts for the trailer ($20 but we already have a few). Then, a group car rental could be focused on maximizing passenger space rather than bike storage. Yellow might even be able to help with both.

Housing is still an issue, but I'm wondering if we could recruit the bike club there to help out. Find a hotel deal or ???

Cali-- for camping info, see what the MS ride info has. They may have camped at the fairgrounds. I can't remember. Look for Logan, UT info as that is the nearest big burb to Wellsville.

I'll try to post some details about the route this weekend. As I recall, it started in Wellsville (or Hiram? what did my earlier thread say?) and snaked its was up the Cache Valley over the state line into Idaho and back.
