    EPIC RIVALRY on Versus!

Alberto & Lance? Nah--That's clearly hype.

Watching the prologue this morning it became clear to me that the real rivalry is between Progressive and Geico.

This is why I record the stages and ff through the commercials.

I did watch Lance's commercial for the Nissan Leaf. Mostly because I hope the car is a big step forward in non-gas-hog technology. And because I'm sick of breathing in foul exhaust while I ride.

    Gone but not forgotten:
    - Silver 2003 aluminum road bike
    - Two awesome worn out Juliana saddles

I love TIVO...... I actually put it on live this morning though... I was out in the kitchen cooking for a dinner party tonight, so I wasn't watching. Being just a prologue listening was good enough, and I kind of just tuned out all ads. The one with the "whoohoo" song was kind of hard to ignore, but I couldn't tell you what it was advertising.

I hear ya! I can't wait for the Leaf... and the Chevy Volt! I finally bought a hybrid this year (Honda Insight... EXCELLENT car and I looooooooove it for more reasons than my bike fits nicely right in the back!) but have been wanting to check out the Volt ever since it was announced.

Hate to say this but it's only a big step forward if the electricity itself is from a clean or cleaner source. If your electricity comes from a spewing coal plant or even oil powered plant it's not that much of a leap.

If I could go solar (can't afford it, have a condo right now they wouldn't let me even if I could) I'd want one! And my roof would be my gas station. Till then I want to live as "car light" as I can.

Meanwhile I'm very happy that Tesla is gearing up to build their cars near here. It may be a boost for the local economy and bring good jobs back.

Selfishly I'm hoping it tweaks my property value up a smidge.

    Meanwhile, keep riding your bikes.

I am in the process of playing with the free "Le Tour" app for iPod/iPhone. I don't have a TV and the Le Tour website doesn't always load well. I'm hoping I can get my Tour fix from the comfort of my cozy chair...

So far the app seems pretty sexy, and easier for my little brain to manage than the website. (it even has videos!)

Far as I know, Schmalz doesn't have an app. If he does, I want it!
(I love him like I love Snobby!) (the guest writer while Schmalz is in Iowa... not so much)

There's a shake weight for women now too; do you think guys will buy them for their GFs?
