Lots of fun reading these. I own:

2007 Trek 5000 WSD - for road rides, multisport

2009 Jamis Coda - swapped out the flat bar for big swept back ones - this is my bike for riding around with my toddler in her Ibert seat...LOVE IT...it will be my commuter someday...

1972 Schwinn Suburban - my errand bike.

What happy bikes we must all have...so well loved.

Can you post a photo of your Jamis with the new bars? I want to switch my bars on my Coda because of a wrist injury. Flat bars are no longer comfy for me. What kind of bars did you get? Was it complicated to switch the bars? Were you able to use the same brake levers, etc.?

I have a Giant Roam 2 W hybrid bike. It's my baby. Has the most beautiful matt finish. I hope to get a road bike one day but I wanted to find my feet on something a little easier to ride.

My major goals are to lose weight, feel fit and improve my health. I feel like I'm already on my way

I'm currently riding about 6 days a week, 5 miles a day. It's not much, but I've only been riding about 2 weeks haha!

Motobecane Mixte recovered from the curb on garbage day transformed to an amazing freewheel

'97 GT Outpost Trail the faithful TfF yellow commute-errand bike

Mondonico Futura Legero, built for me by the man Antonio himself.

Knott's '90's Giant lugged steel beauty, found in a thrift store and now amazingly transformed.

All of them Robinson Wheelwork's built. I've singlehandedly lowered the average cost of his bikes by having him do extreme makeovers on a dumpster, thrift store, just plain old and my namesake the Trek 420. Sorry, Chris.

Goal is commute more often and do another half marathon this year.

2009 Cannondale Super Six High Modules w/ SRAM Red group set.

My main goal is always the same ... ride faster!!! Specifically climbs.

I did my first two road races recently and am proud to say I was NOT last! However, the climbs are where I lose the pack. I have one more this weekend and then will reassess if I am up for racing next year. If I'm going to lose the pack every time there's a climb, I'm not sure racing is for me.

I did four centuries so far this year, the most difficult being Heartbreak Hundred with 8500 feet of climbing, in which I crushed last year's time by coming in an hour and 13 minutes faster. (7:08 total time, including 16 minutes SAG time ... a little different from the 5:34 "ride time" of Amtrak Century last September with only 3200 feet of climbing).

I'm doing at least two other centuries later this year, but plan to focus more on shorter distances at faster speeds.
    GO RIDE YOUR BIKE!!!
