I got really sick after my run yesterday too, but it wasn't hot at all.

Right now I'm blaming dehydration for what happened to me. But since you say you were well hydrated, how was your electrolyte intake? My #1 symptom of subclinical hyponatremia is low-grade nausea. I've never had the dry heaves from it, but is that possible?

Oak- Yesterday I drank the low sugar gatorade, with ice. Took in GU. The day before I had NUUN but I didn't drink as much. Actually the dry heaves followed throwing up, it was like my body wasn't stopping. A/C, the wet towel helped cool me and get me to stop but now my body is aching and I can barely eat. The humidity was slightly elevated so I guess I just need to stop thinking I can go long in the heat like I used to or move to Alaska with several of our college buddies! I think after researching it was heat exhaustion, thankfully it didn't turn into heat stroke.

Exertion in the heat and humidity seems to be effecting me more now than in past years, making me feel ill. I guess it's just that i'm getting older (56 now)- i know that it does effect oder people more than younger people.

Maybe mine was a very mild virus after all. DH isn't feeling right today, and I'm very much better but not 100%.

Body aches and can't eat? I don't think it was the heat. You're sick, girl! Take it easy, greasy.
