I was looking for an excuse (and possibly one that I haven't already used) to go shopping for another bicycle

I own:

4 bikes...

* 2 that fit me
(Orbea carbon road bike & Trek wsd hard-trail mtb)

* 2 that don't fit me
(1st road bike post driver's license & last road bike pre-driving that my parent's thought I'd "grow into" and never did lol)

hmmm... I think according to the bike owning laws of Zen I'm due for more

I have three:

an '87 steel Schwinn that I use for commuting/errands--it's got baskets and racks galore.

my road bike

my hardtail mountain bike

I'll never say no to a fourth (or even fifth)...especially if it were a vintage mixte or a titanium touring bike.

My hybrid just left on the back of my brother-in-law's new camper

Now I need a spare--just in case my bike has to go to the shop

I have 2 for now. A Gary Fisher HKEK mountain bike and my new Trek 520 touring/commuter bike. I had 4 but, had to sell two in order to afford a new bike this year. I plan to get a custom frame built up in the future.

I have three:

Scott Contessa 30 Hardtail Mountain bike - currently on loan to a friend who wants to try dirt but not ready to buy.

Gary Fisher Hifi Deluxe - full suspension sweetness of a mountain bike.

Cannondale Synapse Carbon Roadie - I am bummed because she is a beauty and we have seen many miles but I got to admit I was steered wrong by a LBS that didn't care because they were going under in a matter of months. May be replacing the ill-fitting frame and keeping the components. My LBS wasn't sure they could do much to dial in the fit, the top tube is way too long.

DH has four:
A Cannondale roadie
A Kona Jake commuter/cyclocross bike
A Stumpjumper full suspension mountain bike
A Diamondback hardtail that needs a lot of new parts. He may make it a single speed.
