It's like--when I wake up in the morning and it looks like a good hair day.....

    That means it's gonna rain

Believe it or not, I consider myself an optimist. But the laws of nature do not allow too many things to go right in a row. I guess it throws things out of whack.

I had a friend who said, her car knew how much money she had in her wallet. Whenever she had a little extra cash--car break down!

Glad you have a sense of humor. Although, I would have taken it as a sign and given up before loading the second bike.

    Yikes! Glad it wasn't worse.

Hope her insurance settles quickly on your bike. Don't be surprised if you're very sore tomorrow - and don't hesitate to see a chiropractor or PT if your pain persists, just don't sign anything with her insurance quite yet. Both my DH and I had about four days of pretty bad low back pain after we were rear-ended (and low back pain is not a normal thing for either of us).

Ay yay yay. That's a really bad day. I can't believe you went home and got the other bike and went back out again! I think I would have called it a day. You're no quitter!

Well....I had to do something with all that adrenaline. Riding kept me from having post-adrenaline rush meltdown.

Oak, I am definitely going to see my chiro and planned on it tomorrow but I forgot that she's off tomorrow. So Thursday it is. In the meantime I'm going to take my anti-inflammatory regularly. Thanks for the advice and I am going to take my time with the insurance stuff. We have a really good insurance company that settles our claim quickly and fairly. However, since there is another (not so efficient) insurance company involved....

Funny thing is just yesterday I was talking with my ortho about carbon vs steel and decided I would prefer a lightweight steel bike. Guess I need to be careful what I say.

TS and Stacey--hugs to you both for your kind support.

Oh my! Kudos for going back out again - even if it didn't work as planned. Hopefully the insurance will come through easily, and that any soreness will quickly disappear.

Can't remember who said these quotes, but these are some of my favorites:

    1) a pessimist knows everything is going to go wrong, an optimist finds out.

    2) an optimist thinks the glass is half full, a pessimist thinks it's half empty, a realist knows its probably poisoned either way.
