What an awesome LBS! So glad you will have something to ride until YOUR Orbea comes.
In general I have pretty much just let color be an incidental thing to my bike purchases, since getting a good fit can be such a challenge; but I have found that the more I spend on a bike, the more I care about the color
My oldest (and cheapest) bike is a color I actually hate, since I bought it in my 20s when it was REALLY hard to part with any kind of cash. So I decided to sleep on the decision for a night and when I got to the shop the next day the color I liked had sold out. So I ended up with this pissy metallic yellow mountain bike. I still think the color is terrible, but the upside is that I think the color has made it theft-proof! That bike has been with me for 12 years, through SF, Cambridge, NYC and Seattle. I don't think I could pay anyone to take it off my hands!![]()
When I got fitted for my road bike a couple of years ago, they said you can take this green bike home today, or if you want some other color we can deliver it to you in 3-4 weeks. I wasn't crazy about the green and honestly the concept of choosing a color scheme was mind-blowing. For what I budgeted for that bike, might as well go for it, right?
