Funny raw milk has come up as I've just started drinking it myself. Cow's milk, though. I'm not a milk drinker, but I definitely prefer the taste of raw. In that it doesn't have that milk taste. That twangy taste that leaves an aftertaste and makes me plegmy My dad was all freaked out because it's "not safe". Yeah, that's why people have been drinking it for centuries.

Anyway, I just wanted to show that the Devil Cat can in fact be sweet when she wants to. I was taking some time on a Saturday morning just lazing in bed and she decided it was time to jump on my back.

    "Why aren't you up yet?!"

    "I'll give you a hug."

so, not surprisingly, this foster fell through as well. Not sure if it's the greater powers that be telling me it's just not the right time, but this is about the 3rd dog now that things have not panned out.

Just have to keep thinking that the right dog is out there for me to foster/adopt.

Aw, Devil Cat is doing a great impersonation of Angel Cat!

Reminds me of the two cats I met at a farm cafe last weekend. Black cat up on the bench was very friendly and happy to be stroked. After quite a while I noticed a timid grey one hiding under the bench, but after a lot of careful persuasion grey cat let himself be stroked too, and even started reaching for my hand. Until he got so bold that his head stuck out from under the bench, then black cat went all mean, jumped over and thwacked him. Poor grey cat went right into a timid huddle again. I thwacked black cat (gently) back and he flew off looking very disgruntled.

I've probably made a royal mess of their their alpha cat/underling rank

    This is my crew:

    Rodney, Texas, Joey & Topper

I admit they are a bit spoiled and have me well trained. At least I'm not kidding myself into believing who's in power. Joey & Texas are.

They're so sweet when they want to be. Almost makes you forget about the times they drive you nuts. Almost.

    BleeckerStgirl, NoNo and Tharley,

    Your kitties are sooooo gorgeous!

(The doggies are pretty cute too but I must confess I am a slightly obsessed cat-adorer, particularly as I have no kitties of my own at the moment)

I love love the Devil Cat photo, she's such a poser!

This is Scruffy, the one-eyed pirate dog. He was hit by a car years ago, probably almost 10 years now that I think about it.

I rather like Scruffy's "come hither" look, posing there on the pillows, looking for attention.
