Being out in the pre-dawn quiet, feeling/hearing the world waking up around me. I suspect that I will enjoy it even more when I am confident enough to ride that early - I already have a great headlight

Riding my bike when the only sounds I can hear are those of my tire on the pavement and the birds in the trees beside the road.

Hiking a MTB trail and watching mtb riders along the way.

Listening to the water fountain outside of my apartment with all of my windows open, stretched out on the couch reading a good book or doing needlework.

Yep. When I first started seriously riding, I was going through a tough breakup, and my biggest release was my ride in Zionsville, i.e., the only one that I felt confident to do at that point in time. It was late summer, so the only thing I would typically hear during my rides was the loud buzzing of all te summer bugs. I loved that sound. Even when off the bike, all I had to do to go to my "happy place" was to picture the whir of my bike wheels and imagine the sounds of summer. My pulse would immediately drop.

Those were good times. It's a wonderful thing to discovery something, be it riding, yoga, walking, gardening, etc., that makes you feel at peace when your world otherwise doesn't feel so good.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

    Goat babies.

    The smell of warm dirt.

Seeing buds on all our fruit trees.

Lying in bed, before the alarm goes off, warm and cozy, and listening to the rain on the roof.

Watching the tiny 6 lb cat attack the 2 70lb dogs with not a single ounce of fear.

When my husband pours me a glass of wine, cooks me dinner, or heats up my side of the bed without any suggestion from me.

Talking to the plants in our garden or greenhouse. This actually makes me laugh out loud at myself - maybe I'm going insane?
