I was boggled yesterday when they started trucking away some of the snow piles on the side of my street... They were half melted or more already... why bother at this point?

Last time I was out that way (Wed), Shookstown Road was still two lanes in some places.

The snow's melting pretty fast. I was overjoyed when Rosemont melted enough to be 2 lanes in both directions.

You getting any snow coverage today? The highway signs say don't go to western MD, 'cause there's blizzard conditions.

Gambrill is lesss than 8 miles from me. Weather there is different.

It doesn't immediately follow that we're 8 miles apart and the weather is the same when there's Catoctin ridge or whatever that is between us and another line of ridges on the other side of you.

Yes, but it looks like it's going to be well above freezing, so anything that falls likely will melt. That's what I'm hoping, regardless. Actually, I hope that it doesn't develop, takes a track way offshore, etc.

Snow fans have plenty of places to go and enjoy themselves, all within driving distance of DC.

I got home at 8:30 last night. I awoke to fresh snow on my car.
