And I am not particularly religious. Ok, I'm not at all religious.

Yes, I was heading home towards E-W Hwy and the woman was in a parking lot not far from a playground. The bikepath is still covered in snow so when she was running to me to get her dog, she was having difficulty getting to me. The dog ran in the traffic that was headed towards the N2 start.
Chicken Little, I'm not even Christian much less very religious but thank you.![]()
This is exactly what I love about cycling: you see things, you see people, interactions, smiles occur. This would have never happened without a cyclist When we walk, run, bike, hike ....
Not to hijack or steal any of your well deserved thunder but here's a local story of a dog rescued after being lost in the woods here over a month, would never have been found but for a hiker:

Pfunk, not only did you save that little dog's life, but you also gave the doggy's "mom," and hopefully many of the drivers, a reason to see cyclists in a positive light. You are indeed a Good Deed Doer!
I thought about how it looked to the motorists who witnessed it. How I probably looked like a fool - sprinting like crazy, motioning like crazy and then cutting in front of an SUV (who had stopped for me). But I'm hoping that when they saw why I was acting like a fooland they saw how happy the dog was when I grabbed his leash, they did think positively of us cyclists.
I wish this forum had a LIKE button.
I got tears in my eyes reading that.
