LOL, you're right, Karen. I think you could even play some Ramones songs on the uke and they would sound great!

Don't know Tiny Bubbles but if I could play like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQ5bT...eature=related I would die a happy woman.

Karen - thanks for the site recommendations.

Maybe you mean Tiptoe Through The Tulips? I know it. One of the first ones I ever did.

Wasn't Tiny Bubbles the Dean Martin song? I can hear it with a uke, though!

Here's a question for the group...

Q - How many knee surgeries can a person possibly have on one knee??

A - So far, five. I slipped on the ice and have to have my fifth right knee surgery. My right knee hates me.

My sole remaining piece of cartilage in that knee, the valiant medial meniscus that has withstood all other assaults...finally tore when my foot slipped a few inches on the ice.

Violence against women knows no class boundaries. Only difference is that the rich are better at hiding it as they have more space and more privacy, and more social standing to lose if the news gets out.

(Sorry I'm late jumping into the discussion. Haven't been on TE much lately. Too busy finishing a book and a quilt and feeling too guilty about not training. )

And catching up on other news: Hope the knee heals quick, Pax!

Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
