I'm not really racing, but have signed up for my very first Tri....the Harwich sprint on June 26thDefinitely not aiming to win, just hope to complete the event before all the officials have packed up and gone home.

As far as tris are concerned, I just plan on volunteering for the St. George Ironman on May 1.
If anyone is coming...let me know, perhaps we can get together.

Congrats of signing up! It takes alot of bravery to write the check.
I did an Olympic 5-6 years ago where I was one of the last out of the water. But I'm a good cyclist, so I wasn't worried about making up time. Until I got a flat.I was a really poor runner at the time, so needless to say, I was almost the last person to finish. They waited for everyone, obviously, but they *were* dismantling the finish line banner when I got there.

Gosh, some of you are signed up for MANY MANY races. @ Colby and Susan, wow!
Am gonna do 2-3 in the Colombia triathlon season but really only training for
Escape from Alcatraz, May 2, hardest one I will have done.
I love reading about all your plans.
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." O. Sacks
I have 2 races on the schedule right now. IM Canada in late August and the Texas Hill Country 600 which I will be doing as a two person relay with my BF. That's 600 km not miles.
I will probably do a few of the races that Susan has planned. The Deschutes River Valley TT festival, Ring of Fire (this time as a two person team), and Pacific Crest HIM. Otherwise... who knows. I'm thinking about buying a fixer upper house so I may need to save my pennies.![]()

The funny thing about that is... I'm house sitting at RAO headquaters right now and saw your envelop come in the mail. So it's here, but George and Terri are out of town so don't expect it to get cashed anytime soon.
I want to DRVTT but I think I might have a course conflict. I may have to go to Denver that weekend.
