He's a Morgan! He was about 3 years old in those pictures. He's stouter and hairier now at 6 years old.

Like people, some horses grow more hair than others! Tat's got enough tail for 3 horses, and enough mane for 5! I love the tail, but if I don't keep after the mane (keep it short), or braid it, I can't see anything in front of my saddle except hair! It's like riding a mop. I generally do keep it short since it's not the long flowing kind of mane. It sticks straight up and sprouts in every direction.

This is only half of his mane. He's got more like it on the other side of his neck.

Just wanted to say that I love this thread. I love seeing the pictures of people's pets and reading about their little quirks (the pets, that is although there is nothing wrong with quirks in their owners )

So, at work, I've been practicing Frankie's recall. Occasionally, when she's outside, I'll whistle, and she gets a treat when she comes running to the office. Lately, she's been sitting in random places in the yard...staring me down...just waiting for that whistle so she can get a treat. I took some pictures today...hehe.

    Hey, Mom...do you see me?

    Hello? I'm over here!

    I know you see me!

    Seriously...would ya whistle or something?

Oh hai! Did you call me??

oh man, that is too cute!!!!!

I used to have pugs too. Sweetest little babies out there.
I had a mother and daughter. I miss them still.

Frankie is cracking me up here.
I well remember that potent silent 'pug stare'....resistance is futile! LOL

Frankie looks a bit annoyed w/you! My trio aren't as polite or patient. They would be barking and jumping at the door instead of waiting like good girls.

It always amazes me how quick puppies grow.
Here is a shot of Gatsby not long after we got him and a shot from a few days ago. He is nearly five months old.

Rita, your horse is beautiful. I had Arabian horses once upon a time;who didn't grow much hair. We always envied horses like yours, he is truly beautiful.

Gatsby is like black silk. What a gorgeous dog. Yes, they grow fast but to be honest, there's a lot about the pre-"spay/neuter" puppy years that I don't mind leaving in the past.....
