Oooh, that two-toned Shak is gorgeous!

I've got a half marathon coming up in March, and that's how I can rationalize buying the CW-X tights. (plus I just plain love Love LOVE everything CW-X makes) That's also how I'm rationalizing getting my running sandals resoled, and how I rationalized buying a whole passel of Injinji socks, and how I rationalized buying an Ibex Scout, and if I don't actually run the dang half-mary I'm gonna be in biiiiiig trouble....

I bought a pair of insulated CW-X tights at the expo before the half I ran last month. I asked the company rep if I could bring them back if they didn't take 10 minutes off my time. I did finish a good 5 minutes quicker than I'd been hoping for. Draw your own conclusions.

PS - he said to go by their sizing charts, and they should feel quite snug. By their sizing charts, they actually run large. I have a medium non-insulated pair I got from the LRS, and while they're not baggy, the small pair I got with the rep's advice does feel like the compression works better. By their size charts I'm actually on the small end of small. Typically I take a medium bottom in most athletic wear, or fall on the line between small and medium.

PPS - if you're interested in the non-insulated '08 medium tights I have, I could make you a smokin' deal - worn fewer than 10 times -

Oh, boy! I bought the tights... and a couple other things! That 20% coupon saved me over $19, and in celebration I spent another $75 I wasn't planning to. (thanks, Susan!)

I ordered by the size chart, which put me smack in the middle of the "Large" zone. I'm guessing I'm pretty safe with a Large. I usually wear an L or XL in bottoms.

Knotted -- The purple freestar shak is even nicer in person. The light color is more of a grey than a white, thank goodness (since I'm a dirt and dog hair magnet). I'm going to wear it to work with skirts and black slacks.

"Santa" had an Ibex package arrive the other day, so I'm hoping that he got me the purple shak jersey and the boucle jacket/cardigan that was on sale!

I think you'll like the tights. I have a couple pair of them from when I was running and they really did make a difference. ENJOY (you deserve it).

So what's the thing with the stripes on the tights? It says this is like built in tape? So if I'm a gimp (and I am) and wanna walk a half-mary is this going to help hold me together? And if not a gimp I'd be faster?

I wish the sale were going on a little longer...I'm broke until I get paid on Wednesday, and there's a jersey I want that's been in my shopping cart for ages. Nuts!
