I just try to do the best I can with what I have. My house renovation took me for a ride, so I'm back to the starting point again. But I have these custom bamboo cabinets...THAT was a lesson. I haven't been a student in 10 years, so I have no excuse except my own doing. But that's okay, I don't need any of that stuff anyways.

It can be very satisfying to find hidden treasures amongst the thrift stores and Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. I've snagged some fabulous merino and angora type sweaters for like $5 that way.

The skirt and sweater I wore yesterday both came from Goodwill.

I keep intending to go to the thrift stores but am a bit overwhelmed right now. I need to find out when the next sale is at Salvation Army. They have days where everything in the store is half off Bike stuff too!!

I am at this moment wearing a skirt I bought at a consignment store for $4. I actually can't remember the last time I bought something not on sale or at a consignment store. Wait, I take that back. I bought some bike shorts from TE. They weren't on sale, I don't think. Hmmmm.

Boy, you all are so much better at thrift store shopping than I am. Every time I read of all your great finds, I head in to one. All I ever see are racks and racks of acrylic.
I have a theory. We have several more expensive "vintage" stores in town. I bet they get to all the good stuff first. There's probably a system to it, like you have to go in at 6 am on Wednesday.
