We're in the middle of a heat wave in Arizona, so it still feels like summer again. It was my last morning of vacation- my dh and I rode 18 miles to Saguaro N. Park and back, celebrating a milestone on the way home: 1000 miles since I started riding in July.

Spent Saturday morning taking pictures at Bryce Canyon.

    Rode here in the afternoon:

Nice smooth surface away (at least a little bit) from the cars.

    Followed by pie and champagne.
    I love birthdays!

    Thanks Red!
We're back in Salt Lake, still basking in all the fun we had.

We didn't even decide to go until Friday morning. Brewer asked where I wanted to go to dinner for my bday, and I said "Away."

    Jealous. That area is gorgeous!

ETA: I did a 30 mile loop around Sandy this morning with a cycling group. It is a beautiful day to be out riding in Utah. The leaves are at their prime.

Hey you Utahns! Ride up Cache Valley way. Beautiful temps and colors. Did 15 miles on Saturday, and 25 miles today. Just dreading the day when I have to put the bike away for the winter.

No ride for me today, although the weather is beautiful. I have been busy helping DH instal a new exterior door. This involved making a new door frame and lots of other details (we live in a 1922 Bungalow) I hope to ride my spin bike a litttle later.
