Congrats, Zia! Wowee!!! Celebrate!
Colby, and everyone, thanks for the dressing suggestions!
This morning I experimented on my 2.5 mile last taper run. It is sleeting outside and about 36 degrees. I wore a pair of smartwool full calf-length socks, the capris, a wicking tank, a wicking t-shirt, a long-sleeved thin wicking shirt, and the Pearl Izumi whisper jacket (very light, windproof.)
Well, it was clear one mile in I didn't need the long sleeved shirt. I think I can get away with just the t-shirt with the whisper jacket over it.
But, I like the long socks, and when I went through a puddle, they seemed to dry pretty quickly (I tested it all!)
I also wore a buff bandana style (covering the ears) with a baseball hat on top, and that was perfect.
So hopefully without the long sleeved top I'll be okay. I don't want to have to dump clothes for the salvation army - I value my stuff - and the stuff I don't value I don't want to wear on a run!![]()
