    Windy this p.m.
But...my new Hincapie jacket arrived from Bonktown. I am a total Imelda Marcos when it comes to jackets....I can't get enough of them! It's supposed to be cold(er) tomorrow. Yay! I think I'm going to wear my new jacket in....

How do you like that jacket? I've been eyeing it on Bonktown whenever it comes up, but haven't been able to convince myself that I need another cycling softshell...

It was great. Nice long arms, which I love, and a snug fit, but not constricting. Great pockets. Cons are: no lined sleeves, so things were a little sticky sliding my arms in. However, a silk baselayer and the jacket were perfect for my 40 degree (4 C) commute in the a.m. With a warmer baselayer, it'd probably be fine for mid-30's or so. I think (or rather, I'll rationalize) it will fit in nicely b/t my Descente and Castelli heavier jackets, and my Descente wind shell. Yeah.

Unfortunately, it was raining by the afternoon, so I totally wimped out and took Metro home. DH plans to swing by at noon today with the truck so we can go out for lunch (maybe) and he can get the bike out of the locker and bring it home, as it's supposed to be 40's and raining for the rest of the week (and weekend). Blech.

Yeah, I rode in today in that mess. Didn't see another bike on the road until I got to my building, and there were about 5 of us who had ridden in.

Cold, wet, but not quite as miserable as I thought it would be. I need to drag out my winter clothes, I guess.

I might have to hitch a ride home if it's like this later today.
