Today we saw a dozen police officers having a conversation with a pack of hunters dressed in camoflage with shotguns and rifles on property next to the airport.

Not a good reflection on the local schools ability to teach critical thinking.

Last week, a golden eagle. Today, a Blue Angel. It's Air Show weekend a Miramar (where they filmed Top Gun). I ride a Lake Miramar, which is just a couple of miles away. I got buzzed by F18s, too.

I found myself worried about the young children living in war zones. Those jets really are loud- terrifying- and when they set off the bombs, too, well, I found myself thinking how blessed we are to live here, and wondering what kind if damage beyond the obvious destruction of buildings that our bombs may wreak.

That reminds me of the time I was riding on the bike-path and I saw a bunch of guys parachuting above me. It's surreal to look up and see people floating above you, especially when you're on a bike in the middle of nowhere.

I didn't get pictures, but there were sooooo many butterflies out this morning, even in the rain! Guess it's migration time for the Monarchs

Two days ago I saw a roadrunner less than a mile from my house... I always think those are funny because people associate them so much with Texas but I hardly ever see any.

Today I saw a road littered with Wooly Bears. So cute!

I also saw a man on a motorcycle with a sidecar. In the side car was a golden retriever with a bandana

Wow - I lived in Montgomery County for 50 years - how did I miss that? Where is it?
