This is the view along my favorite stretch of riding road
Here's one that's a bit stranger:
There was a sign out front saying that it was for rent but it wasn't near anything so I can't imagine why anyone would want to set up shop there.

I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

Whoa that does look like a nice riding road!!!Originally Posted by MDHillSlug
Today I saw a white Heron flying along next to me, a baby bunny (and lots of grown ones), and a kitten lounging about on the asphalt trail.
Made me smile.

These places look great! Keep adding pictures. I went riding today but didn't take my camera. I'll be sure to take it with me again tomorrow.
Ohhh I forgot about this... a big sink hole right along the trail!

Cool!
These are pretty crappy since they are from my phone, but...
A picture of the local trail last year when it was flooded out (this trail goes about 50 miles end to end and crosses the WA-ID state border):
A picture from the northern point of the ironman coeur d'alene ride (this is last year, but trust me it didn't change):
I have seen lots of bunnies (especially at dusk), marmots (moreso in the mornings), and a few snakes (in the middle of the day), all of which are hard to catch on camera. Sometimes I see deer in the evenings but not really when it's this hot outside, and by the time I could get out my phone, they scamper (prance?) off. I have only seen a moose once (which is uncommon for the area normally, but we saw several this year), and that was running, so I didn't have my phone.
Other than that, it's mostly cars, other cyclists, walkers, and runners, with associated children and/or doggies. I don't think you need pictures of those.![]()
I see a variety of terrain, and sometimes a variety of weather on my rides. The Bay Area has a lot of Microclimates.
Lots of woods:
Some great bike lanes:
Sometimes my favorite mountain bike trails (from my road bike):
And if I'm really lucky, the Pacific (but that requires an overnight, a car ride back or about 80 miles and a couple of mountains):

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Cycle! It's Good for the Wattle; it's good for the can!
I've never ridden by the ocean (yet!) but that would be awesome!
Yesterday at Chabot Regional Park in Oakland, CA. I had to quickly get off the trail to avoid getting trampled!
Yow, that's a lot of goats!

Great pics!
It is wonderful to see where other TE members ride.
When it stops raining here I will try to get some snaps on a ride.![]()
