I waited too long to make a hotel rez---everything within easy distance of the start (@Kilmarnock) is booked. So we're staying in historic Williamsburg, about 30mi from the start. I figure we'll make a weekend of it---a bit of history, a whole lot of riding.
I'm so glad you'll be doing the River Ride, Kathi! I spend most weekends in that area, but alas, not that weekend. It'll be the first time I will miss the River Ride. It's a great ride-little traffic, good support, friendly, nice views. It can be a bit windy, but it's pretty flat with a few surprises. Have fun, and if I possibly can make it, I will.
