    Golden Apple--Westchester County, NY--Sept 6
NYC Century (entire 100 miles in NYC)--Sept 13

I'll miss some great rides in the area scheduled for when I'm away on vacation in Provincetown, MA.

My first century was the NYC Century. I did it in 2003. Enjoyed it alot.

That Golden Apple ride looks interesting. I might look into it for next year. The start is a bit of a drive from my parents' house but probably no worse than the drive from where I live up to the Civil War Century.

The Golden Apple is a great ride. I've done it a few times already and always look forward to it. Definitely keep it in mind for next year.

I just got my registration packet for Columbus Fall Challenge. I'm undertrained and frickin' TERRIFIED. On the one hand I'm telling myself it's okay if I only finish one day, as many, many people do. On the other hand this was a task I laid out for myself early in the year and it's no one's fault but myself that I'm undertrained.

OakLeaf, you're not undertrained -- you're practicing for next year!
