Must've been a pretty comical sight.
I've walked back with a 10-lb. bag of kitty litter, but I think the toilet paper would be better! Around my neighborhood, walking with a bag of groceries usually gets a few "concerned" drivers asking if you need a ride. (Thanks, but no - I'm walking 'cause I want to!)

I did 3 miles yesterday evening. It was in the early 90's outside so I stayed in the shade as much as I could and drank as much water as I usually do going twice that far. I'm just not adjusting to the heat this year - even low 80's gets to me. So yesterday was a slow one - but it sure beat running on the treadmill. Sometimes I can handle the treadmill, but I just wasn't in the mood yesterday.

Despite the 90-degree sticky weather, I managed to get out for a trail run--stayed out for about an hour and it was actually a good run!

Slow 4.5 miles. My knee is a little sore, and since I am now a little crazy about every ache and pain, I spent some time with a bag of frozen edamame on my knee
Slow and steady (like a train!)

Well, I did my first 5k race last night, and it didn't go so well. Went out too fast, then my tummy started doing flips and I kinda died. It was hot and humid, and I knew perfectly well that I should have run some in the evening last week, just to get a feel for the conditions, but never did... My pace ended up being slightly *slower* than what I did in my 10k in July. On the bright side, I didn't puke (the other woman in my church choir who ran did). And I've been reminding myself that when I started running last Oct., I couldn't even make it one mile without a break.... Also, since it's my first 5k, it's a new PR, no matter how slow!

Anyway, last night: 5k (pretty flat) in 31:03. This morning: 3.7 miles (kinda hilly) in 34:30. So be it...
