I did it: I took the plunge and got a new bikeOriginally, Lynskey had a demo frame in my size but then they put the R230 on sale so I ended up receiving a new frame
I also found a great deal on the groupset from LickBike so I decided to spend a little extra for an upgrade
It rides like a dream! The geometry is more comfortable than my first road bike and I love riding it! I still don't like hills but I think that's a user defect
I can't help but cringe whenever I have to go over rough roads
Specs:
Frame: Lynskey R230, XS
Groupset: Campy Chorus 11 speed
Cassette: 12-27
Crank: 170mm, compact 34/50
Handlebars: FSA Wing Pro Compact, 40cm
Stem: FSA OS-150, 90mm
I also transferred the saddle (Jett) and pedals (Ultegra SPD-SL) from my old bike
I also have Linda's computer on there (thank you!!!)

Awesome! Love the frame; love the build.
I'd like to hear how you like your handlebars.
Is the 230 part of the houseblend as they call it? I'm hoping in about a year to get a Lynskey too.. the bike is gorgeous. Is the finish the natural titanium?
Thank you! Um...the handlebars are good...is there anything specific you want to know?I hang on to them and they help me steer...they don't really seem that different than the handlebars on my old road bike (Bontrager VR OS).
Yes, the R230 is a houseblendIt's natural brushed (lowest price tier is satin finish) because it was included in the reduced price
Currently, I'm troubleshooting some shifting problems...![]()

I'm having shifting issues with the compact crank that I never noticed with my triple. Namely, when I am in the small ring in front (34), I can only shift about half way up my cassette before the chain touches the rear derailleur. Then I have to shift into my big ring (50) to get access to any of the higher chainrings. Is this normal?
I'm considering bringing it into my LBS but it seems like it would be unnecessary expense since I've only had for ten days...![]()

Ana,
Congratulations on a very nice bike! I'm sure you'll enjoy many miles together.
As far as your shifting issues go, does the chain touch your front or rear derailleur? If it's the front derailleur, it sounds like you need to "trim" your front derailleur. One of the benefits of Campy is that you can trim your front derailleur. Unfortunately, I'm a Shimano user, so I don't know exactly how to do it on the Campy set up. I'm sure some of the other Campy users can chime in.
Since you just bought the bike, you can probably bring it into your LBS for a minor adjustment without any extra expense.
Hope you get it all figured out and are out enjoying some great rides soon!
- Melissa
I'll get back on the bike soon, I promise!

I'm looking at basically the same bike. Do you mind telling me your height/inseam? I think would be between an XS and a S. I think the TT length on the S would be a smidge too long for me.

You need to adjust the front derailleur - if you're at the smaller ring in front and it rattles when you're on the smaller rings on the cassette, you move the gear shifter a click or two towards shifting to the larger ring in front. You can adjust the front derailleur two positions towards shifting in both directions, just do as if you were to shift, but don't go all the way.
Think orange. Earn success.
