Deb how long are you going to be in Europe??

That is a lovely area, DebW. It's so great to be in a country ..to see much older historic areas in rural like settings than what one often finds in North America.
Uforgot, that is one cute bunny up close. You must have used a zoom lens or maybe it was quite tame.

I want to photograph my route some time. Maybe tomorrow -- I will be riding in Jamestown, RI which is mostly scenic waterfront and marshes.
But my commute is an old rural highway that, as it goes North, becomes more and more "civilized". I then duck onto a bike path for 10 miles where I get to experience a 19th century landscape - backs of old mills, rivers, ravines, up into the city. It's a nice slow evolution and lots less shocking than driving from the middle of nowhere up into Providence. I will have to photograph it some time. I love it!
I can do five more miles.
Beautiful, Deb!
Today I saw a zucchini as big as my lower leg by the side of the road. Yes, it's that time in the Midwest, when late at night, people load up their vehicles with enormous zucchini and clandestinely dump them in random places.![]()

I found a dolphin on my ride today. Ok, so it was a tiny plastic dolphin, but a dolphin nonetheless.
Here are some pictures from the lake where I most often ride. It's sometimes really busy, but it's 10 beautiful miles of trails and just across the highway from my house. I really do love this lake and the trails there. Mind you, not all of the scenery is as pretty as the pictures here, but who wants to see pictures of parking lots and dead grass?
Edit: ummm... sorry those are so big. I saved them at 50%, but they're still humongous.

A farm along our route the other night had not one but TWO newbies out in the yard. I'd talked to their human mommy a few days after baby on the left came along, and knew that they were expecting the second any day. I'm amazed at how much baby number one has grown in a week! I rode past them again tonight, and the wee guy was still cute, and the bigger one was still lovely -- just looks so much more finished already!
And off another direction, there was this fantastic mailbox...

I thought Oklahoma was hilly?
I will take some photos on my next dirt ride as it's much safer than trying to stop on parts of the bike paths here in Perth![]()

Third-One of many statues around the city, this one's quite famous for people putting clothing or signs on it if it's someone's birthday etc.
Last-The Blue Shed..I think that's the name?
CC, must be cold there now? Who is the statue dedicated to?
Not sure if these will show up. I grabbed them from my facebook. If they don't show up you're missing Beanfield, Cornfield, and Happy Little Clouds.
6am rides in East Central IL are really really peaceful!
