    Hi all -

How's about a ride up Mt. Hamilton (near San Jose) either Saturday Nov. 5 or Sunday Nov. 6. ?

Maps, details, and all that other stuff to follow.

But isn't Mt. Hamilton a "Hill That Goes On Freakin’ Forever"?

No, that was whatever the name of the road we were on for the Top Hat. At least that's how I felt

We'd prefer the 5th as Thom will probably be heading to Melbourne the 6th or 7th. And I don't get to go. He'll be gone for 4 weeks.

Allrighty then, the 5th it is

Since no one else expressed a preference for Saturday vs. Sunday, and it's a toss for me, we'll have the ride on Saturday Nov. 5.

It just wouldn't be the same without HRH and the Prince Consort, would it?

Mark your calendars, line up the babysitters, think up excuses for the in-laws ...

    Details to follow.

here's a photo essay on the ride up Hamilton

    http://www.chainreaction.com/mthamilton.htm

" Very few riders would need a triple crankset on this ride for its grade, since it never gets very steep."
    [ jobob's editorial comment: oh, bite moi ! ]
"On the other hand, due to its length it can wear you down, so lower gears might give you a chance to rest. But there's nothing as steep as the nastier sections of Page Mill, or even Old La Honda for that matter. It's just plain long! "
