Hmmmm. Personally. For some reason, flashy, multicolored lights (I KNOW these aren't very multicolored) draw DWIs in (and sometimes sober people too, but mostly drunks), rather than warning them away. I am not sure why, but having WATCHED people come straight at my lights at night on traffic stops I know it is true...plus the reality of how many officers are killed in this very manner. Possibly because of the idea that you go where you watch (I know if I look at a creek rather than the bridge on my mountain bike, I wind up, somehow, in the creek) and the lights are mesmerizing. A flashing red light is certainly needed on a bike at night, but add those green ones and you get a can't look away effect.
Multicolored lights are illegal on the backs of cars....for bikes it only says what you shall have, not what you shall not. But for me I think this is not such a good idea.
