+1. With the stem nearly vertical like that, the effective stem length looks to be about 1 cm, which will make steering EXTREMELY sketchy and dangerous. (My DH has his articulated stem [don't know what they're really called] set at about half that angle, and I can barely ride his bike because of it.) Originally Posted by alpinerabbit

Well folks, there was a dealbreaker on the bike.
At least I know bikes just like mine are out there, and if I keep watch, I'll get Greyfell the Second added to my stable.
