How did it go?????
How did it go?????
AWESOME!!!I made it ALL THE WAY!!!
The day before the race I was running a fever, blowing my nose every few minutes & feeling like crap worried that I might not be able to race in the morning. But after chugging on some nyquil and a decent nights sleep paired with answered prayer I was good to go in the morning. Definitely not 100% but good enough to race.
I'll share more details soon, just got back from traveling home.
My final time was 6:41:56. Which put at 232 out of 253 that did the HIM. It's about where I figured I would be, slightly slower but not bad especially considering my cold meds. started to wear off at mile 45ish on the bike and the temps were HOT 80's for the run (I've only run in temps about 70 twice this summer since it's been so cool here.)
Everything said and done it was a great race. I had A LOT of fun!! I feel wonderful today, able to walk easily. Could run if I wanted to, but I'm letting the body recover a few more days before that.![]()

Urlea, congratulations! I too was wondering. I am so glad to hear it went well given that damn cold!
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." O. Sacks
Woohooo! Awesome job!
When's the next one?
