    Yes, waiting a week does make things seem iffy from the LBS's point of view.

    BUT, you should DEFINITELY go back and talk to the store owner. Reasonably and levelheadedly (which it sounds like you are more than). I'd be asking for a new saddle, or at the very least an extremely steep discount on one!
