Did you check whether it (Sigma DTS 1606 wireless?) is working at home? That's, spin the wheel and the crank to check whether any numbers show up.

BTW, for the wireless one, you need to press the button to initialize it when it goes to the sleep mode. This is unlike the wired one (that's what I use 1606L).
