Where's the list? Because you didn't quote Arkansas, and I'm curious.

It rains a lot in areas near the coast. (Arkansas is not near the coast, but we do get hurricane remnants.) But I know from living here that the rainfall is punctuated by many days of sunny skies, as it is in Mobile, Baton Rouge and Pensacola.

It is my impression of Seattle that it might not rain that much, but the sky is gray or overcast more often. So a comparison of annual days of sunshine might be in order. The gray skies are what I object to the most.
