I haven't registered for that ride - but it's sorta in my back yard, so maybe I should just get the routes and ride them myself on weekends.
For this ride, I might consider putting one on!

If you can find cue sheets, let me know. I'd love to meet up with you for a practice run.

I ride around there on Saturdays, if you ever want to. I won't claim to be really really fast going up hills, so if nothing else, I'll make you look good and boost your biking confidence.

I think 7rider's done these rides before, maybe she already has the cue sheets?

Oh well, I'm willing to duck out early on a Friday (any excuse not to work)

Sundays can work, I just have to ditch my mother & brother. I usually stop in and do a bunch of chores for them, get nagged, and get home cooked food. But I can shift them to a Saturday night.

Cool! I'll try to meet up with you Sunday at the Wild Goose chase so we can at least put names and faces together. Maybe we can plan a TE ride for some weekend after that?

K, I PM'd you my cell phone #, if it works out there, you should be able to find me.

I'll probably be kayaking somewhere on Saturday, I'm not sure if I'll be off the water by 6 pm to meet you guys for dinner or not - I'm thinking I'll go over into blackwater refuge & do some of the paddling water trails - but I guess I should look at what group paddling trips people are doing through Terry and try to avoid those areas.

I've done the century once (and abandoned once). I don't think I have the cue-sheets, however. They probably ended up as a sweaty, torn mess in my back jersey pocket and got tossed at the end of the ride. Check out the profile from the 2008 ride. That 10.8% grade at mile 60? That's about where my IT band finally had enough (which is why I'm wearing that white brace on the Seagull in my avatar picture). I managed to make it to mile 75's rest stop.....and see how nice and flat it is after that???? I didn't get to enjoy any of it. Sat in the back of a minivan the rest of the way back to the start. But I'm not bitter.....no siree....

You can check out the maps here.
I don't see cue-sheets listed for any ride except this 27.5 mile training ride.
    I don't know what that's like however.

That cue sheet has 2 5 mile sections that are marked climb on them.

I'm not convinced I want to climb for 5 miles at a time twice.

I've got the cue sheets for the Civil War Century from several years ago. Four rides--50.8, 63.4, 77.3, and 104.9 mile routes.

I can make copies and bring them to the goose chase if you want. Let me know.

5 mile climbs! Holy cow- I've got my work cut out for me! (and I'm beginning to question my sanity )

    See you on Sunday

Look for the person on the red folding bike with 20" wheels & snakeskin tires who is huffing & puffing on the 25-ish mile route. It will be me.

Just promise not to kick sand, or mud, or garbage in my face as you fly by on your road bikes.
