I have 3 bikes: one road bike that is strictly a roadie, a hybrid (well, it's technically a flat bar road bike, but to me it's a hybrid) with pannier, lights, etc, and a FS mountain bike.
I would like either a touring bike or Bike Friday. Or, a Bike Friday that I can use for touring. The idea of short inn to inn trips has intrigued me for awhile, but I definitely don't have the bike to do that. My DH has a Friday, but it's a road bike. He isn't traveling much anymore and since he loves his road bike, he has thought of trading it in for a Friday we can tour with.
So besides our 7 bikes, we have our son's classic steel Serotta hanging in our bike shed. Even though we bought it for him, we won't sell it!

I picked up a pair of Oakley Straight Jackets on Chainlove in the "Ducati Special Edition" color....flat grey and red with "Ducati" printed on one lens. I told my DH...."Now I need a Ducati to go with the glasses!" But, he didn't buy it. So....no Ducati for me.

But...I have 5 bikes: 2 drop bar road, 1 flatbar road, 1 dualie, 1 cruiser. I'm jonesing for a rigid singlespeed for playing in the woods at a local state park, and I'd love a custom Frankenstein bike (cross? tour? ultimate commuter monster?) for a commuter. Someday, on that last one. When the money tree out back finally bears some fruit!

Nope, but if you find a 48-50 Bianchi on the curb - then please keep my name in mind, hee-hee!

Hey, the wheels were flat and I was really excited So I'm a dork - I had one of the bike shop guys measure it for me so it really is a 58cm. So it needs a new home! And he said the schwinn is lugged steel but it does need a lot of work. That one is my size if I want to spend a lot to fix it up. It may end up at the garage sale.

And I almost grabbed another one from the curb this morning. An orange bike with orange tape - another step through. But I resisted.

I only have 4--one that lives at our store, my '73 Schwinn. The others are my road bike, mt. bike, and Bike Fri. I had a hybrid that I loved, but DH made me get rid of one when I got the Friday. He just doesn't understand! But I decided to get ride of the hybrid rather than have him get rid of me.

WOW - you guys make me realize I really really need more bikes! I only have the sexy french roadie and the Miss Cherry cruiser/errand/pleasure bike. I need a mountain, and a fixie!

Question - Anybody keep more than 2 or 3 bikes in an apartment? Space definitely is an issue...

DH and I had 4, plus at least 1 frame at any given time, in our 2 bedroom apartment when we were first married. We built really nice oak racks and hung them in the living room.

    Three.

    1) carbon road bike
    2) cyclocross/commute bike
    3) old raleigh reliant I picked up for $15 and plan to fix up and use as a town bike.

I could see getting two more (If I had the cash right now):
    1) a road bike that is light and zippy but that I feel less protective of than my carbon bike -- a "training bike" if you like. There's a weekly practice crit series in the summer near where I live, and I'd love to try it, but among other things holding me back, I'm scared of crashing my bike.

    2) a mountain bike

Two. My road bike, a Merlin that I absolutely love & a LeMond Poprad (technically a 'cross bike) set up for commuting and whatnot.

I only have 2 bikes - mMy old Trek 2300 and my brand new Trek Madone 5.2 I also live in a 2-bedroom condominiium with my 2 daughters so space is an issue. But I refuse to put either bike in the bike storage room out back. There are tons of bikes in that room - on top of each other. I guess my girls and our dog have to get used to the fact that the bikes are part of the family I forgot to mention that I also have a very large treadmill in the corner of the living room. Since I'm not currently running, the bike trainer fits nicely on the 'mill.
