    Glad I rode today!
Please report back for those of us who didn't ride today!
apple sauce has worked wonders for me in the past. The other thing to try would be pumpkin - but you wouldn't need the whole can and I guess that's counter to the point of the recipe.

I got the recipe from a friend a while back and tried it. I found that using whole wheat flour made it a bit dry so either increase the wet ingredients or decrese the flour. Quite yummy!

Pumpkin is a great idea! I'll try that next.

    The truth hurts

I ran the recipe through the caloriecounter.com and the grand total, without the optional (?) chocolate chips is:

    864!

Definately only for long ride days.

    kill joy

I ate 3/4s of one (with the chips)! Oh, and I had french fries that day, too. It's a miracle I'm not as big as a house!

OK, since newfsmith already owns the "killjoy" title, I'll add that after reading through the recipe I plunked it into the weight watchers recipe creator and it said it is 23 points

To put that in perspective - my base point count for an entire day is only 18. Sadly, I don't think I'll be indulging any time soon.

I have a friend who makes the most delicious brownie cakes - she uses whatever chocolate cake mix she pulls off the shelf and a can of pumpkin - nothing else, no egg, no oil, no water...
She says the batter is icky, chunky, unattractive looking and tasting - but the end result is wonderful, although the color is a little funny.
I need to put that into a calorie counter and/or weight watchers and see what comes up.
Of course it isn't for 1 and takes longer than 5 min to bake...
