I just did it! I followed the recipe exactly (for the first time) and it turned out great. I decided on power level 7 for my microwave, which seemed right. It is a little scary to see it head so far above the top of the mug, but it didn't pour over the sides. It was kind of like souffle. The chocolate chips all rise to the top to create a ganache-like section there. Yum.
It's definitely shareable!
Now that I've done it the correct way, I'm going to see how substituting apple sauce for some of the oil works, or maybe mashed banana.
Glad I rode today!

I will never buy another bike!
I got the recipe from a friend a while back and tried it. I found that using whole wheat flour made it a bit dry so either increase the wet ingredients or decrese the flour. Quite yummy!
arg, have three more hours of work before I can go home and make it! sounds perferct for me
I ran the recipe through the caloriecounter.com and the grand total, without the optional (?) chocolate chips is:
864!
Definately only for long ride days.
OK, since newfsmith already owns the "killjoy" title,I'll add that after reading through the recipe I plunked it into the weight watchers recipe creator and it said it is 23 points

To put that in perspective - my base point count for an entire day is only 18. Sadly, I don't think I'll be indulging any time soon.
