I got the wheels home. Wow, the decals are obnoxious! hahaha I may have to remove some. I was going to build some up from scratch (basically same wheels, but possibly different hubs), but I wound up getting a deal on pre-built that was comparable in price to custom.
I've got a few red accents on my Tarmac, and while I hate red on bikes, the wheels go with it pretty well. I think they'll look nice on my blue and white Roubaix, too. A friend of mine had a blue and white BH, and those wheels looked great.
I think the 1850s are slightly better looking (1.2 rims), but, obviously, they are a ton heavier.
As for new wheels, unless you go with tubulars, you probably aren't going to find much that's lighter and better but not deep. Maybe the Reynolds MV32C? Or Williams 38 (heavier).
