It's great to read about your glorious recovery, TxRed!

Went for hill intervals today. It just occurred to me that I could use the roads of a local park - the highest point in the City of Vancouver at 128 meters or so - as a course for hill reps. In just over an hour I had the time to do five loops of the 3.5 km course including about 30% steep, stiff climbing.

Great weather. Felt fun! I gotta get in hill shape because in two months we are leaving for the Alps!!

I had the shortest ride of my life, on my road bike that is.
    8.65 miles
It was a gorgeous day and I guess I was seduced by this. Normally, I should have been taking a rest day. The best part of my ride was climbing up Strawberry Hill Rd. Then, I decided to cut my short loop even shorter. My legs were absolutely dead, probably from my run on Monday.
I saw 2 or 3 groups of serious roadies, who looked like they were going for a lunch time training ride. All waved and were friendly; I think they recognize my bike, after a few weeks of going out at this time.
I am up to my ears in work for school; I have to go into the city today for a project. I will be riding Thursday, Friday, and we are leading a ride on Saturday. I *have* to rest today.
