I ventured out into the neighborhood.....(its countryish) and this time I wasn't chased by any dogs...... I had to stare down a couple of them but I was ready to fight today....LOL
I made it about 11 miles today and actually stopped due to darkness setting in. My goal these days have been to work on some long gradual hills (the ones that make your legs scream) and I FINALLY made it up the one big hill on my 6 mile loop. It was so good to make it up the hill without having to either stop for a short break or um..... walk up it....
Ever since being diagnosed in August of 2005 with the most deadly and aggressive form of breast cancer...... I cherrish the small victories. It sure makes one really look at life in a whole new perspective.
I have been riding and swimming now for 9 weeks and in that time....
1. 25 pounds gone.....
2. I can now ride several miles and feel good doing it...LOL
3. I am getting a little more energy all the time.

PS There are several peacocks down the road from my house and today one was "sunning" himself and had his full feathers out. I wish my cell would have taken a better picture!!
