Some of the stories about the cats at the shelter are just heartbreaking - like the little female cat who was found half frozen to death on a remote road. They thought her back legs were injured because she couldn't move them due to damage from the cold, and she's now lost the top half of both ears from frostbiteAnd the kittens born outside to cats that the owners wouldn't let inside, and tried to put down unsuccessfully

And the two cats get along great, which was a surprise to me since the cat I already had was a feral, aggressive, mean ol' brute of a cat.
Having another cat seemed to calm him down, and they spend their days mock-fighting and napping. It is hugely entertaining to see them interact.
