Today we did 39 miles. Gets me to 318 year to date which is nearly twice where I was last year at this time.
Heading to the beach tomorrow. That means A LOT of windy riding!

It was cold in the Northeast yesterday. Took my B bike to the A race, and left the A game at home ... Ended up with 60 miles total, and 25 miles of racing. Not bad for March.

Dh and I did a 48 mile ride organized by our local club, teh MacClinchey Mile. We haven't been riding much over the winter since the weather has been so lousey, but I discovered that dropping 15 pounds and doing core work on the Wii fit did more to improve my cycling than riding through the winter could have. I felt like I had a rocket booster under my butt! Those hills were no big deal! Woohoo!
BRISTOL, GO JR! I'm so excited, the weather is breaking in St. Louis. Not only are we getting in rides, I've already started my long rides for a metric the beginning of May (http://stooges.rogerkramercycling.org/). 30 miles with DH on the scenic, gravel Katy Trail. Lots of red birds and quite a few walkers enjoying the nice weather. We looped over the Page bridge (I beat my DH up the hill--only the second time, the first time he had a cold--this time he had sprinted for the last 5 miles to catch me after checking out an RC field off the trail) for a short piece of Creve Couer Park and ran into my sister and her DH just unloading for a quickie (we were supposed to me meeting them for dinner!) They rode back over the bridge with us and we "sprinted" back. That's gonna hurt tomorrow.

6.5 miles pre-riding the mountain bike race course with DH. Not cool for some reasons: ran out of time and ended up hoofing a part because it was too dark, fell walking a hill (huge bruise and scraps), saw a snake but it was dusk unknown type. I hate ALL snakes and this trail is known for poisonous copperheads, I don't even care to know what that little jerk was. We then camped in the park to hear sirens and gunshots in the distance. I am not a fan of this city by a long shot but it was an interesting night to say the least.![]()

I think zoozoo meant to quote me. She did the 34 mile loop of the macClinchey mile, which was definitely not a race, but a fabulous, scenic ride around the countryside of Snohomish county.![]()
