Susan, are you running in OR or WA? I'll be at the St. Paddy's Day Dash in Seattle on Sunday. I know it'll be insanely crowded but it is so much fun.
It is so great to see how everyone is doing! I'm still plugging along. My work shift is really early a.m. right now (like I wake up at 3am?) so I run after work. I'm not what you'd call a strong person if I wake up early. I ran hills this week and am increasing time in my intervals. I found a hill that was long enough and I wasn't sure of the grade. I needed between 6 - 8%. It was painful...and I later learned that the steepest portion of this road is 20%. Oh well, I guess I learned. It's time to find another hill.
I don't know how people do the treadmill either. I haven't been on it yet this year - there is something unnerving about running and yet staying in the same place. Last year I know I'd count how many people walked into the gym and how many people walked out and it was boring. This year I've run in the rain and ice and snow and I think I'm happier that way.
