I had to force myself to get out the door for a run this afternoon--I had cramps and felt icky. However, tomorrow is supposed to be awful weather so I decided I had better get a run in today. I did 25 minutes around the neighborhood--about half was on the pavement and half on grass. It turned out that I felt really good during the run so I was glad to have pushed myself out the door. Next run will be a half hour. So far so good with the VFFs--they seem to be working really well for me on a variety of surfaces (pavement, trails, grass, indoor track). It's a good compromise when one would like to go barefoot but is concerned about what she might step into. I don't think I will go back to regular running shoes if I can help it.
