Not all motorcyclists are coordinated enough to wave or watching. My mom rides and only wave about 40% of the time to other motorcyclists. When I ride on the back I wave at the cyclists.

I've found that most MC bikers will respond, nicely, to us non-motorized cyclists.Beth
