My family is incredibly relieved! We have been through a number of health crises ourselves. My father nearly died before he got a liver transplant last year. Sometimes, it just seems like you draw a bad card, doesn't it? Thankfully, my Dad is doing great and it looks like my mother will do well, too. Hope and prayers and friends go a long way to getting you through times likes these.

I'm glad to hear that your Mom's colon cancer was not very far advanced and they were able to get to it with surgery. Please keep vigilant for her since it can come back and she will need to have tests done frequently to make sure she catches it in time again! Since we just had two men in our family die of colon cancer, we are all pretty well educated about the treatments and surgeries. It's amazing what you learn from direct contact with this disease.
