heh - this reminded me of when I was in hospital and had just given birth. Son had fallen asleep, and I dared to venture out of my room and wobbily down the hall with bassinet in tow to the tv room, where a handful of other women were watching the Norwegian version of the Oscars. I remember saying "Oh yeah, remember that one" and "Oh, I liked that one!" a couple of times.

And one of the other women turning around and saying in a dry tone - "First kid, huh?"
Winter riding is much less about badassery and much more about bundle-uppery. - malkin

    Ha!

And now you're an expert on animated kids' movies, right?

I hate awards shows and haven't been to a movie theatre in years but I vote for "Milk"

I see a lot of movies, but none of the nominated films really wowed me this year. I like seeing what everyone's wearing, but I've grown to hate the awards shows themselves. When I do watch, I end up tutning the sound down during the acceptance speeches. I hate to hear actors using them to discuss politics (regardless of whether I happen to agree with them). And I really hate it when they get overly emotional, as if winning an acting award is on par with a Nobel Prize or something. Get a grip! The self-importance of these shows is laughable.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

BF is a huge movie buff, so I've seen a few of the movies that are nominated. Of the ones I've seen, Slumdog Millionaire has been the best. I wasn't impressed with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button... Most people that I've talked to have the same opinions as me. I really enjoyed Slumdog. It really highlighted an area of the world I am certainly not familiar with and I love learning about cultures other than my own.
